Skyview RV Campground Is Now Open

BC Parks has just announced that Skyview RV Campground is now open.

This new BC Parks RV Campground is located on Gibson Pass Road in Manning Park Resort 4 km off Hwy #3. This year-round RV Campground is next to the Lightning Lake Day Use Area. With over 90 sites in the summer and 60 sites in the winter, this year-round location is sure to be an immediate favourite with all visitors of E.C Manning Park.

The RV Campground features large pull-through and back-in sites. All winter sites offer full services with 50-amp power, water, and sewer. The 32 summer use sites have 30-amp power, water and sewer. A large, bright modern washhouse is available year-round.

Rates and Reservations

There are nightly sites, weekly sites, and long-stay monthly sites available. Rates can be found on our website.
Reservations for the winter season are now open.

For more information and to reserve your stay, visit or

The campground offers a great location and access to all of Manning Park Resort’s winter activities. Once ski season is open, there will be a daily shuttle that will take you from Skyview to the ski area and lodge area throughout the day.

The cross-country trail from the Nordic Center at Manning Park Resort goes right through the campground in the winter, taking cross-country skiers to the higher elevations. The proximity to Lightning Lake also offers great snowshoeing access. A shovel is recommended as it does snow!

As the name of the RV campground suggests, the location offers great views of the sky, with very limited surrounding lights. Bringing a camping chair is suggested for evening stargazing.

In summer, a large new playground has been built for kids, and hiking trails, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming at Lightning Lake are just a few steps away.

We look forward to seeing you and your family at Skyview RV Campground this winter!

  1. Just wondering me and some friend would like to come up wondering how we get two sites together

    • Hi Sean,

You can email, and ask them about their availability. There is no guarantee of getting 2 sites next to each other.

      • Is there wifi at sky view

        • Hi Mark, Skyview does have wifi for an extra fee of $5 per device daily, or $30 per device weekly.

  2. Why do we not book for a specific sites? If we want two sites together ie next to each other – why is that not possible?? I don’t understand

    • Hi Angelika, when you book in our booking engine, there will be a field where it asks for any further comments. You can put a request to be next to your friends/family there. It is not always guaranteed, but our operators work very hard to try and make it happen.

  3. What is check in time?

    • Hi Anne, check-in is 1pm, and check-out is 11am.

  4. Am I allowed to camp with tents, or is only RV’s?

    • Campers are welcome to tent at Skyview, but are still required to pay the full rate, whether they use the services or not. Booking in advance is required.

  5. Is there cell phone service at sky view?

    • There is cell service, and there is also wifi available for $5/day (or $30 a week) per device.

  6. We have booked a site for later this year, for one small RV van and our adult son with one tent. Not sure, now, if tent is allowed on the site with the van

    • Hi Jonathan, you can have your tent set up with your trailer as long as it fits within the site boundary (which it usually does).

  7. I camped for a week at Skyview back in mid-May and would like to book again for early October but it’s not clear which reservation system I should use. BC Park’s “Manning” page states that as of August 2 I’m supposed to use their reservation system but Skyview does not yet appear as a campground choice. Should I be using Manning Park Resort’s reservation system for the time being?

    • Hi Larry, for now, you can use the Manning Park Resort reservation system. BC Parks will give us the go ahead when it’s time to switch over to their system and we will communicate that.

  8. We plan on booking a site with our RV (approx. 24 feet) in early July. Is it possible to also pitch a small tent on the same site for 1 person? Thank you.

    • Hello Jennie,
You should be able to pitch a small tent next to your RV.
      Thank you.

  9. We’ve booked a site for 3 nights at the end of July. Are day visitors permitted if friends or family drop by for the afternoon?

    • Hello Paul,
Visitors are welcome during the day if you have booked your site with us. If your visitors wish to stay overnight, an additional charge will apply. Thank you

  10. Can I have my trailer and a tent on my site?

    • Yes, The campsites are spacious and you have space for a tent.
