In 1965, after graduation, Lily got a Summer job as a waitress at “Pinewoods Lodge” — which it was called back then. I took a job at the Esso station which was across the highway. We both worked there into the fall before moving on to Kamloops, BC.
In 2018 our sons and their partners organized a family reunion here at E.C. Manning Park to celebrate our 50th. wedding anniversary. We (all 12) enjoyed the hiking, water sports and other facilities so much we decided to make this an annual event. Sharing one Premium Cabin was an added adventure along with the deer and bear sightings.
This year, 2020, was our third family reunion here. It is such a great place for family fun and shared adventures. This being a cooler, damp July, the lake trails were a bit muddy but still a pleasure. The higher mountain trails were super with the usual spectacular scenery. With our 4 grandchildren being older…and larger, we decided to add a Standard Cabin to our accommodation and this worked very well.
‘Til next time…
