Join us to celebrate our beautiful parks with community partner booths, barbecue, crafts, facepainting and more! Family-friendly guided hike and the Great Parks’ Day Quiz Show at the amphitheatre that evening.

We are happy to welcome the following community booths to this year’s Parks Day event:
BC Parks, Princeton Visitor CentreBC HydroGo Fish BC, Princeton Search & Rescue, the Hope Mountain Black Bear Committee and Chilliwack Outdoor Club (COC) and the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC (FMCBC).

These great groups will be on site with information about their organization and some fun, interactive games and crafts for kids!

Family Friendly Guided Hike:

Celebrate Parks Day this year by joining a Park Interpreter on a short hike to a beautiful view of the Lightning Lake chain.  Please meet at the Lightning Lake Day Use Area Info Shelter at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 20th.  Round trip is under 5km with a moderate elevation gain, but all through lovely shady trees and the view at the end is well worth it.   Bring water and a snack and good shoes for walking in.  A great adventure for the whole family!
